*It is our current understanding that for license renewal Florida requires massage therapists to complete a total of 24 CE hours by August 31st of each odd-numbered year.
Current licenses expire at midnight, Eastern Time, on August 31, 2025.
Mandatory CE Courses:
2 CE hours in Professional Ethics
2 CE hours in the Prevention of Medical Errors
2 CE hours in Florida Laws and Rules
* 1 CE hour of Human Trafficking
Additional CE Requirements
5 CE hours - General Hours
12 CE hours- " Relevant to and Focused on Massage Therapy Techniques, Skills and Protocols (Classroom Hours)"

*Human Trafficking CE Requirement
Each healthcare provider licensed by one of the named Boards must complete a one hour continuing education (CE) course on human trafficking that has been specifically approved by their Board for this purpose. The course must be completed by January 1, 2021 and will count towards the required CE for renewal. The bill does not require that this course be taken again for future renewal cycles. The links below will direct you to courses that meet this requirement as soon as they are approved by the applicable Board.
